According to CCTV reports, recently, the world's largest 100MW/400MWh all-vanadium flow battery energy storage power station has completed the main project construction and entered the single module commissioning stage.

The power station is the first phase of the "200MW/800MWh Dalian Flow Battery Energy Storage Peak Shaving Power Station National Demonstration Project". It is the first 100MW large-scale electrochemical energy storage national demonstration project approved by the National Energy Administration. It is reported that the project is expected to complete grid-connected debugging in June this year. After the completion of the power station, the output power can reach 100 MW, and the energy storage capacity can reach 400 MWh, which is equivalent to storing 400,000 kWh of electricity. and play an important role in accelerating the development of new energy.

At the same time, the project will promote the application of large-scale energy storage in my country in power peak regulation and renewable energy grid integration, and provide technical support for the energy revolution and energy structure adjustment, and to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.

Compared with traditional lithium batteries, all-vanadium redox flow batteries have the characteristics of high safety, high reliability, and long cycle performance. The falling cost of vanadium batteries has also paved the way for their commercialization.
